Despite the fact that Windows 10 has been available since 2015, you may be unaware of many of its capabilities. Here are some Windows 10 tips and techniques that can help you get the most out of your operating system.
**Secure your computer using Windows Hello**
Windows Hello is a biometric security system included into Windows 10 that lets you log in with your face, iris, or fingerprint. To enable Windows Hello:
1. To open your Windows Settings, click the Windows symbol, followed by the gear icon.
2. Select Accounts.
3. Select Sign-In Options.
4. Select Set Up under Windows Hello.
**Open the Hidden Start Menu**
If you are missing the standard Windows Start menu, right-click the Windows symbol in the lower-left corner of the screen. A menu will appear displaying standard administration tools, directories, and shutdown choices.
**Copy and Paste Using Cloud Clipboard**
Windows 10 has a cloud clipboard that maintains track of the objects you’ve copied and allows you to pin them for future use. To utilize it, press Windows Key + V to bring up the cloud clipboard. You may view copied text, photos, and other files from any computer as long as you’re logged in with the same Microsoft account.
**Record Your Screen Using the Game Bar**
The Game Bar in Windows 10 was built for gamers to capture game clips and images, but it can also be used by anybody who needs to record their screen. To open the Game Bar, use the Windows key + G.
With the Game Bar open, use the following shortcuts:
– Use Windows Key + Alt + R to start and stop recording.
– Use Windows Key + Alt + G to record the preceding 30 seconds.
– Press Windows Key + Alt + PrtScn to take a screenshot.
**Enable Nearby Sharing**.
Nearby Sharing allows you to exchange links, photographs, documents, and other content with nearby devices over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Enable it and share by clicking the Share icon in Microsoft Edge or straight from the Microsoft Photos app.
**Quickly show your desktop**
To rapidly display your desktop, click the little rectangular area just to the right of the Action Center in the lower-right corner of the screen, near to the time and date. This function, previously known as the Show Desktop button, takes you directly to your desktop.
